General understanding of DAR Lean structure is needed for you to get a sense of how you can structure DAR Lean in the most efficient way for your business.
DAR Lean structure workspace to the following hierarchy
One darlean account can have multiple Workspaces without additional charge. You can control the user access for each Workspace and control the access for each project and plan. To understand more here is the brief on usability
Workspace
Limited to those who are invited by Admin. Uninvited user will not able to enter the workspace
The highest level of darlean structure, enabling user to use every single feature available in darlean
Workspace is the main work area. It is used for internal team, or if you have partnership you can create separate workspace to manage work with your partner without exposing internal data
Project and Plans
Limited to user that are invited to collaborate in the project. Uninvited user will not see the project
Project and plan are seperate menu that have similar operations. This is the main area where you manage the project or make corporate action plans
Project can be use to control task related to on-going project, or can be use to manage different division across the company. Plan is used to make corporate action plan where the task is more visionary
Milestone
All user invited in the Project or Plan
Represent the key result or objective to achieve in a project.
Example: app major feature, app release version, certain business goal
Epic
All user invited in the Project or Plan
Simply defined as "very big task" that needs to be breaked down for each team to work effectively
Example: app minor feature, technical module
Task
All user invited in the Project or Plan
Smaller chuck of job that need to be done by the user
Example: UI mock up for app task, review user agreement task,
Sub task and Child Task
All user invited in the Project or Plan
By default this two additional task level is not prompted. If needed you can always go to Project Settings to add the task level and make customization on it
Complex business process requires additional task breakdowns to ease the project control.
Pro Tips Explore and be flexible to play around with these components. For example for a food chain restaurant who have many branches, each branch can be represented with one Workspace, in which every branch manager is responsible for setting up different projects and tasks according to the needs by simply adding in Project and Plans Another example of a Digital Marketing Agency that works closely with a Client, can have one main Workspace for internal coordination, and many others, including the client as a user. With that structure, clients can see the work in progress in real-time with less hustle to ask for updates.
